family.

Hunter Beery, Father, Deceased at 30, Former Professor for Magical Theater at WADA.
Hunter Beery was from a long line of purebloods who had supported the arts in centuries. Youngest of two brothers, he grew up enjoying the arts as most of his family did. He went to Hogwarts and was sorted and Slytherin, but it didn't seem to quite matter. He was still as friendly and charming as he was to anyone as a Slytherin can get. He was successful in that matter. Many praised him for his well said poetry's and great voice while in the Hogwarts choir. Once he graduated, he became to fully pursue his actual passion of Acting and attended Wizarding Academy of the Arts where he met his wife, Olivia. He fell in love with the smart muggleborn actress who shared the same passion as he did. Eventually, when they both graduated, they happily took jobs at the academy where dramatic arts became their life - and where they died in a reckless homicide at the burning of WADA's Grand Theater.

Olivia Beery, Mother, Deceased at 28, Former Professor for History of Wizarding Acting at WADA.
Olivia Beery was beautiful French halfblood that grew up in France for most of her childhood. She attended wizarding school in Beuxbatons but had a passion for arts that made her eagerly seek the Wizarding Academy of the Arts. It was not hard for her to assimilate. In fact her English was superb, considering her love for English playwrights, like the likes of Victor Hugo. She met Hunter at the WADA, and she often loved to say that it was love that first note. She had attended one of his recitals and once he sang his first note, Olivia was hooked. They devoted their lives to WADA, eventually dying through a widespread of fire a year after Hugo was born. She would have been a great mother, Hugo knew.

Herbert Beery, Uncle, 48, Former Hebology Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and now Professor of Magical Theater at WADA.
Hebert was the eldest of the Beery brothers. Unlike his younger brother, he felt like he needed to do something outside of the arts. He enjoyed it greatly, yes, but he felt like he needed to set himself apart. He found a passion for magical plants, and soon enough he pursued a career in Herbology. With his passion for life and success, he became one of the many renowned Herbologists of his time, teaching at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry immediately at the end of his one year internship around the world. He was good at what he does, but as each and every class passed each day and years passed by, he found himself growing tired of teaching the same thing. He began to actually start dramatic plays at Hogwarts, thinking that maybe he could spark his interest more. It helped quite a lot, and he grew to love acting more then. When his brother died, he left Hogwarts and took the very same position his brother left at WADA, feeling he needed to continue the legacy his brother had started. He also became a father to Hugo then - one that Hugo modeled himself after.
history.

Early History: Hunter Beery had his arm around his utterly dazzling wife Olivia with a proud smile growing on his face, as he stood behind the stage of the renowned Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts' Grand Theatre. They were both watching their students amazingly perform the closing night performance of the tragedy Wizard, Where Art Thou?, when a splitting scream emanated from the very pregnant woman in his arm, indicating only one thing: her water broke.

The production halted, as people rushed to where they were, Hunter panicking with worry. He tried to control himself as someone shouted that Olivia needed to be brought to St. Mungo's, but he could only nod and hold his wife, as people rushed them to the floo. Everything was a blur then. Wizards and witches dressed in starking white clothes, him and his wife screaming together as she held his hand tightly. Only when the cry of a baby did time slow down, as the Healer handed Olivia his baby boy.

It was the proudest moment of his life.

They named him after wizarding playwright Victor Hugo, who had written plays to both the muggle and wizarding society - and the very play that they produced the night their boy was born. In fact, he was a patron at WADA, and right before his wizarding death, Hunter trained with him. It was quite fitting for their son, considering it also continued the Beery's tradition of naming their children with a name that starts with an 'H'.

Life was a joy to the Beery family as Hugo was born. Both parents still worked at WADA, and in fact brought Hugo with them at times. Many of their students enjoyed having the cherub baby boy around - at least, when he wasn't crying. In which case, Olivia would just laugh and send him over to his Herbologist uncle, Herbert Beery. Everything was well, and the couple enjoyed being parents as well as being teachers for those who seeking

Tragedy unfortunately became a real life theme to the Beery family a year into Hugo's birth. During the opening night of their newest production of the tragedy, Witches Go Forth!, WADA's Grand Theatre suffered an attack. It was one fire that started it all. One of their students cast the strongest spell of Inferno possible in a suicide attempt, and soon enough the production became a tragedy that would go on the histories of many Wizarding Drama books. A few people survived, but unfortunately it didn't include Hugo's parents Hunter and Olivia Beery.

Hugo was with his uncle that night. Fortunately for him, he was too young to even remember his parents.

He grew up knowing of them, through his uncle and WADA itself. Hebert eventually took a job at WADA, pursuing his dream and giving justice to the death of his brother and his sister in law. They rebuilt the Grand Theater in the name of Hunter and Olivia - and Hugo often found himself wandering the walls if only to feel some sense of his parents.

He was proud of his parents and their work, especially as many students and professors would stop him as he wandered around WADA, telling him about his parents. He wished they were present, so that he got to know them. He knew they were great people. He didn't want to say that he didn't miss them, but he didn't have much of a memory about them. Sometimes, he would think that he would dream about them, but everything was so vague. It almost seemed as though he was learning merely about great playwrights or actors. But he never felt he particularly lacked in parents.

Herbert was a great pseudo-father to Hugo, he raised him with a knowledge of the arts and a knowledge of greatness where he knew he would be able to pursue anything. His uncle praised him, as well as those in WADA, that he can achieve anything. Herbert taught him to have a passion to live, passion to seek your dreams and a passion to be great. And Hugo knew he was going to be. He was a Beery, after all, as his uncle would say. Every Beery had their own greatness and rose to their own reputation and name.

That is the attitude that he had when he stepped foot into Platform Nine and Three Quarters on his first day to learn magic. He had seen it through the halls in WADA, and quite honestly he couldn't wait until the day he mastered everything and would make a name out of himself.

Little did he know that Hogwarts wasn't exactly like his perfect little world in WADA. He walked in with confidence into the train, but the amount of people he didn't know, the older years staring down at him, his fellow first years looking way too nervous, made him feel immediately wary. It almost seemed excruciating as he sought a carriage to settle himself for the ride. But once he got to the castle and got sorted in a house that supposedly housed many great ambitious figures, he knew he was going to be fine.

Hugo enjoyed the idea that he was in Slytherin especially as the Sorting Hat mentioned how successful he was going to be in the house. The years went by with many scaling events that happened, particularly those centered around Harry Potter. Hugo had heard of him as he grew up but he couldn't help but think of him as a myth, especially at seeing him in his scrawny self. He wasn't worth the attention that people were giving him, which only made Hugo turn a blind eye on him. He had much more important things to focus on and that was to build his name and reputation. He knew he could be great and he did everything that he could to be. In Slytherin, he learned to do anything it took to get what you wanted. With dramatics as his background, he wasn't afraid to fool people into doing his homework, or perhaps give him the password to the kitchens. He had a way with words and charm, and it was his tool to get what he wanted.

Eventually, some students found out about his valuable skill and had offered him favors and even money to get them something. It was then that Hugo knew that he had some form of power over people and he knew he was on his way to be successful.

In his fifth year, Hugo knew he was going to have many more opportunities in his belt. He had a good name with him, so he knew he need not worry about the Carrow-controlled school. He was named Prefect, after all. This was the time to rise to the top. The year went by very dramatically

I think it's time for another prank. Or another Hogwarts Howler.

Things are getting worse and I need to forget the fact that my uncle is head over heels in love with Vane's father.

My uncle is out of his mind.

I love him dearly but he does not need to go into detail about his new beau. Especially if it's Romilda Vane's father.

Warded to Romilda Vane

Yes, dear. Care to explain what on earth your father did to my uncle?!

Someone thought it was a lovely joke to get Peeves chasing me around during lunch. It was you wasn't it Mclaggen?!

Now I am famished and exhausted for this afternoon's class. It's best to take note that I am not pleasant without food in my system.

What is with this day and practical jokes?

Warded to Mclaggen

Well, at least, now we clearly know where your loyalties lie.

Warded to Veronica

I know you're still sour with me and all, but you see how much of a bloody bastard Mclaggen is? I bet you he was already cheating on Cecilia with that slag. I'm glad Cecilia broke up with him and glad that he's getting bloody punished for taking the blame on Carmichael.

Oh and... I think we should break- Have you had any change in thoughts about coming out? I think it would be healthy for you, Ronnie.

Stupid cabbages. They ruined my pair of Twilfit and Tattings exclusives.

Warded to The Them
We're settling this.

Amelia and/or I are joining the IS. All in favor?
Warded to Wendy

So do you still like Kirke?

Warded to Cecilia

Scratched out after the big news

So. Carmichael. What are we doing to her? Like I said, I already have a couple of ideas.
Forget about it. I'm sorry for what happened.

Added after the big news

Warded to Penny
Will you let me know how Cecilia is?
Warded to Self
Cecilia finally broke up with Mclaggen. But why don't I feel as happy as I should be about it? Oh right, because she won't bloody talk to me. Did I blow it with her? I can't have. I mean, I just didn't want her to be hurt and I knew Mclaggen was hurting her. But then it happened right after Mclaggen and I were fighting. Merlin, this whole thing is complicated.

To all the ladies of Hogwarts:

I apologize for Julian Stebbins' actions. It's unfortunate how you are all forced to answer such superfluous and mindless questions when we all know that you all do love me.

Warded to Cecilia
Have you talked to Declan- Are you thinking about- How are-A Galleon for your thoughts?

Warded to Ronnie
I need to tell you something.

Private to Wendy
I'm sorry about, Kirke. But you don't deserve the way he treated you, potion or no potion.

Private to The Them
I have detention, a black eye and a bruised cheek. So I wouldn't be able to work on the paper certain nights. At least, it's no connection to the paper.

Private to Cecilia
I'm sorry Can we talk?

Private to Ronnie
I'm sorry for how I acted the other day. Mclaggen just got on my nerve and now Cecilia's blaming me for ruining her relationship that's already ruined as it is.

Oh and er, you wouldn't have anything to cover up bruises would you?

Private to Self
What's wrong with me? Why am I apologizing like it's my business? Am I really one to blame here because honestly, I've done nothing but want my pride to be in tact.

Now I get my face all bruised. Sweet Merlin, I can't walk around with this.

I blame Mclaggen. That bastard doesn't deserve anything. I swear, he probably did something to Kirke to cause this.

Stupid Gryffindors.

Oh, Smith, if I had known. There are some lovely young lads at the WADA that would enjoy your taste in cosmetics.

Do let me know if you're interested.

Successful first issue, wouldn't you say?

I suppose it's great to know that I can have meals with my girlfriend now.

Although, I have a plate of specially made eggs for me in the morning. No one touch that please. Thanks.

Warded to The Them

I found an abandoned classroom during my rounds the other night. Perhaps, we can use that to collaborate in?

And it'll help that two of us can sit together in a table now, even though it's clear that there's something wrong with that. Clearly, we can't be our awesome all house group if we're in the same tables.
Warded to Amelia and Wendy
You haven't spoken to Veronica, have you?

Warded to Cecilia
So how are you and Declan? Better?

Guess what today is?

If you're smart, you'd know this quite significant day of celebration. And if you know what it is, there will be a butterbeer and whiskey waiting for you at the Three Broomsticks!

You're throwing me a surprise party tonight!

I'm going to be the better person and keep my mouth shut about the new IS lounge. Because clearly, us, prefects aren't boastful asses actually do our job and do not waste time eating treacle tarts and butter beer.

I hope you lot enjoy the dung bombs I left in there.

Warded to Veronica

Can you sneak me some of those treacle tarts from the lounge? I am being a wonderful fake boyfriend after all, right?

Warded to the Them
Something needs to be done about this! They took the lounge from the prefects!

So many things had happened since winter hols that I haven't had the time to write on here. So I apologize for those of you waiting to get word on my life's happenings.

I do have big news. But I'm quite sure rumor has already gone around. I'll let you all to figure it out for yourselves, as a fun little bonus game, yeah?

Warded to The Them

So remember when I told you that I went to Paris with Veronica Parkinson and that somethings sort of happened? You wouldn't be opposed to me dating her, would you?

Warded to Lucy

Er, I don't know if you've gotten word from Veronica, but I'd appreciate if you mention to her or Cecilia about our little secret during the WADA after party. Not that you would or anything. Or if you'd remember at all. If you don't, then gladly this regard this.

Thank you, dear.

Warded to Veronica

Cecilia's back with Mclaggen. We're going at this full force now.

The Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts is having their post-Christmas musicale on the 28th! Everyone is invited to come. You'll be missing out if you don't!

Let me know if any of you want tickets!

Warded to The Them

I sent you the tickets to the musical. You all are mandatory to go, just so you know.

And apparently there are two parties going on New Year's eve. You ladies can be Heath and I's dates when we go.

Of course, we'll still need to have a little party to ourselves. Firewhiskey and some wonderful sweets after our brainstorming session?

Warded to Cecilia

I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at your family's party! I do hope there are mistletoes around.

Warded to Carmichael

Why is my best friend Heath asking me to apologize to you? I see you're such a gossip too, aren't you?

Dust bunnies should forever be ostracized from Hogwarts! Who's with me?

Warded to Cecilia

I've cleared it with Professor Slughorn and guess what? We're decorating the common room this weekend! It's going to be you, me, hollies, hot chocolate and lots and lots of mistletoes! Quite exciting isn't it?

Warded to The Them

Despite the lovely bite I've gotten to save you lot from those bloody bunnies, I managed to nick this shiny interesting thing from that storage closet!

Heath's making me ask you so- Were you aware that I'm the best of all dates to have at the gala?
Added after Hugo found out who Amelia's date was.

Amelia's some how managed to convince her little Ernie McMillan to go with her! Clearly we need to do something about this!

I've been seeing a lot of riddles lately. So here's one for you all with a fetish for it.

Who has the most charming smile in Hogwarts?

A lovely, lovely reward to anyone who can guess.

Warded to 'The Them'
So do I need to be tap dancing and singing for you all to liven up? The sob stories going around bore me.

I will start tap dancing, if it comes down to it. Do you really want that happening? Although, I am a fantastic dancer.
